Quim arqués is a self taught artist , living and working in Estartit (Girona , Catalonia ) has for many years worked in the graphic arts , and has experimented with lithographic inks and paper .

Step by step, it has opted for new technologies , specifically photography and digital processing , which has found a new world to explore.

The current work is modern , innovative , and in it we find that simple things as everyday as a shrimp or a fork can become a work of art .

The photography is the starting point for an artistic research. Quim gives a personal touch playing with textures, shapes and elements that picture up transforming their particular initial and intimate creative expression.

The physical support of the work is of exceptional quality in both paper ( Hanhemüleh cotton fiber hundred percent ) and inks that give texture and finishes of the highest quality .

The printing method used is known as giclee and consists of the application of millions of tiny drops of ink UltraChrome , through large format printers Epson Stylus Pro . This system has continuous tone images and pure colors are impossible to play so far with traditional lithographic printing systems . The quality of a giclee copy is recognized in all professional and artistic circles . Museums , galleries and collectors everywhere exhibit , sell and store digital work printed limited editions of this method is considered the best technique in existence today to reproduce original works of art , both in black and white color. Does this prestigious and is rated as being a means of artistic impression of high quality and durable . In normal light and paper " fine art " of cotton, several generations before will not vary the colors of the inks and paper .

The collection has a limited number of 25 copies per piece, numbered and hand signed by the artist.

En Quim Arqués, és un artista autodidacta, viu i treballa a l'Estartit, (Girona, Catalunya), durant molts anys ha treballat en el món de les arts gràfiques, i paral·lelament ha experimentat amb les tintes litogràfiques i amb el paper.

Poc a poc s'ha anat decantant per les noves tecnologies, més concretament la fotografia i el processat digital, on ha trobat un nou món per explorar.

L' obra actual és, moderna, innovadora, i en ella hi descobrirem que coses tan senzilles com una gamba o tan quotidianes com una forquilla poden esdevenir una obra artística.

El treball té com a punt de partida la fotografia i en una constant recerca artística, en Quim li dóna el seu toc personal jugant amb textures, formes i elements per acabar transformant aquella fotografia inicial amb la seva particular i íntima expressió creativa.

El suport físic de l'obra és d’una qualitat excepcional, tant en el paper (Hanhemüleh de fibra de cotó al cent per cent) com en les tintes que li donen una textura i uns acabats d'altíssima qualitat.

El mètode d'impressió utilitzat es coneix amb el nom de Giclée i consisteix en l'aplicació de milions de diminutes gotes de tinta ultrachrome, per mitjà d'impressores de gran format Epson Stylus Pro. Amb aquest sistema en Quim aconsegueix unes imatges de to continu i colors purs, impossibles de reproduir fins ara amb els sistemes tradicionals d'impressió litogràfica. La qualitat d'una còpia giclée està reconeguda en tots els cercles professionals i artístics. Museus, galeries i col·leccionistes de tot arreu exposen, comercialitzen i guarden edicions limitades d'obra digital impreses amb aquest mètode que està considerat com la millor tècnica existent avui dia per reproduir obres d'art originals, tant en blanc i negre com en color. Té aquest prestigi i és tan valorat per ser un mitjà d'impressió artística de gran qualitat i perdurable. En condicions normals de llum i amb paper “fine art” de cotó, passaran diverses generacions abans no variïn els colors de les tintes i del paper.

La col·lecció té un nombre limitat de 25 còpies per peça, numerades i signades a mà per l'artista.
